Club Brugge and Dynamo had to accept being runners-up in their respective national championship and now will start competing in the Champions League in the third qualifying round. Dynamo has won the Ukrainian Super Cup and two league matches, just like Club Brugge which triumphed in first two rounds of the Belgian championship. This is going to be their first head-to-head ever.

The previous season wasn’t good for Club Brugge and they are determined to do something about it in the new one. Dynamo Kyiv

Dynamo nicely started the new season but only in domestic competitions. This is the first test in the Champions League and before the Ukrainian season started they won the Super Cup after defeating their biggest rival Shakhtar 2-1. It is always a special pleasure for Dynamo to defeat the team from Donetsk, and this time they did it after turning the result up-side down; 10 minutes before the end they were losing 1-0 but then scored two goals in just three minutes. Midfielder de Pena assisted two times after coming off the bench and he was the hero of the match. In the Ukrainian first league Dynamo firstly defeated Karapaty 0-2 and they Lviv by 0-3. In the meantime they brought forward Rodrigues.

This could be a very uncertain match but in the 1st leg we give a minor advantage to Club Brugge. The Belgian team is in good shape at the beginning of season and they are capable to defeat Dynamo Kyiv at home, which also started well the new season.
