Only their center-back K.Papadopoulos was absent due to suspension, and Jung jumped instead. Now they cannot count on D.Santos, also because of yellow cards.

Freiburg

The players of Freiburg are failing to break a negative series of seven games without a win. At the beginning of the series, they played two draws, with the expected defeat from Bayern, but they are now in a series of four defeats and they have therefore fallen to a position that leads in the playoffs for survival. If they lose this duel, there is a danger that they will be directly eliminated from the elite rank, while on the other hand, they will create realistic conditions to avoid further playoffs.

The problem with Freiburg is that they lost the previous two games from their direct rivals, Wolfsburg on their field and away from Mainz. So, they had the opportunity to overcome all the worries in these games, but instead brought themselves in an even bigger trouble. Both times the result was 2-0, and before that Schalke lost with the same result. They are three rounds without any goals scored and this is a problem, which coach Streich will now try to eliminate with the changes. He decided to put Petersen and Kleindienst in attack, while Kath will be a refreshment in midfield.

It is quite clear that all except a victory for HSV means the end of all the hopes, so this team simply had to put all the forces into the attack. Freiburg is in a crisis, but this is a good opportunity for them to break the negative series and we expect from the teams to score goal.
