The Germans started well this qualifying cycle and won two matches, with the first one was far more valuable. They were guests in the first match and they lost by 2-0, although they played well in the first half but they received both goals in the second one. Last Saturday they faced Northern Ireland at home and Vassiljev scored the first goal around middle of the first half. They again fell apart in the second half when they received two goals in just three minutes. It is possible that the starting line-up be refreshed for this match.

Verdict:

Germany is the absolute favourite to triumph in Mainz and Estonia can only hope to avoid total disaster. The Germans didn’t excel against Belarus but now we expect their sound victory.
